The IMF Presents Video of Key Points from the International Myeloma Workshop XIII, Paris

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 04, 2011

The IMF is filming over 100 presentations in 15 scientific sessions and panel discussions at the Thirteenth International Myeloma Workshop (IMW XIII) taking place in Paris, running from May 3rd through the 6th.

At the conclusion of each session, a key opinion leader in attendance is interviewed on camera, giving an overview of material presented. Each day these summaries, highlighting advances made regarding the biology, genetics, diagnosis, and treatment of Multiple Myeloma, are posted on the IMF website. Two interviews have already been posted.

After the meeting is concluded, webcasts of the individual presentations will also be available archived at myeloma.org. In addition, Jack Aiello, an IMF member and a myeloma patient himself, is attending the meeting, blogging from a patient’s perspective in “A Patient in Paris” (patientinparis.myeloma.org).

The IMW is an important scientific meeting that is held bi-annually. This one is taking place in the heart of Paris, in the Carrousel du Louvre. According to the program organizers, their “aim [is] to provide a compelling scientific programme highlighting emerging advances in our understanding of the biology and treatment of myeloma disease. Great post! I?m just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well – resources like this article are incredibly helpful. As our company is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case
